ECG Strip 25

ECG Strip 25 - pulmonary embolism

This patient (female, 40 years of age) suffers last few days from shortness of breath during physical exercise. She refuses any chest pain presence but complains about pain in her left leg. She regularly uses oral contraceptives and smokes cigarettes. ECG shows us sinus tachycardia with negative T waves in V1-V5. We evaluate the condition as pulmonary embolism; the diagnosis is confirmed by CT angiography (bilateral massive pulmonary embolism).
